Here is the YouTube video of this weeks conversation:
This week’s Topics: Don’t rely on a resume, rather, use it when/where needed.
If you invest more time in research & networking you won’t lead with your resume, you’ll lead with yourself. Good conversations, developing trust & respect, and maybe a little likeability. This can lead to people wanting to help you and maybe to job ideas.
Use your resume when it’s time to showcase your skills, experiences, etc. etc. Not beforehand.
Beware of the ‘Corporate Brush off’ from those who can’t or maybe won’t help you. It happens.
This week’s Interview question: In your current or last position, what were your most significant accomplishments? In your career so far?
Be able to speak to accomplishments that are relevant to your career goal and/or showing professional growth.
These accomplishments need could be broad, more life or career-based, as long as you can find a way to ‘tie’ them back to the role you are being interviewed for.
We all need to be able to speak to our accomplishments in career and life, not only for the interviewer but for ourselves as well.
What are you doing this week to move your self forward in your career journey?

This week’s challenge – What are the 4 awesome stories that speak the best to who you are and what you do?
What are the key components to a story: Maybe – A challenge, A real person, & accomplishments/successes / the win. You need to have stories that ’showcase’ your skills, experiences, accomplishments working with real people, relevant to your career goals.
Next week topic:
Build your Professional LinkedIn Profile focused on your career goals.
Next week interview question:
Had you thought of leaving your present position before? If yes, what do you think held you there?
