Hopefully, you’ve spent time building the best resume you can and you are proud of how it represents you.
Now, be better and different than everyone else and make it look good on LinkedIn. Put it on your LinkedIn Profile so it can be found by those you want to find it there.
Don’t be misled, not everyone who views your LinkedIn Profile will look at your Rich media. However, you could tell recruiters and hiring managers it’s on there when in networking conversations so they can get to it quickly.
Rather than Upload the document to LinkedIn, upload it to SlideShare first, then Link to it in the Media section of your LinkedIn Profile. Note – all LinkedIn Members have a free Slideshare account.
Here is a YouTube video that shows you the difference and the basic steps.
If you want to update your resume, delete it from the Rich media section of your LinkedIn Profile and from Slideshare before uploading a new one to Slideshare and relinking it to your LinkedIn Profile.
