Social Media ROI

There are a lot of conversations going on regarding the value of using Social Media for business.

Often I hear people say stuff like:

  • “It’s all about likes”
  • “Followers, gotta have followers”
  • “Views, If I can’t get good views, it’s not worth it!”
  • “Click thru, Click thru is the most important thing.”
  • “Connections, it’s all about connections & eyes on my stuff.”

These ideas miss the mark completely. Yes, it’s about all of this stuff collectively, however, it’s also about building trust, respect, awareness and relationships with the people you connect with on Social Media. Further more, it’s also all about responding, engaging & having a conversation, just like you do now with face-face, email, phone & letters.
