Here is one idea of a Cover Letter used when submitting your resume to a recruiter or hiring manager:

To {Name of recruiter or “Whom It May Concern”}:

Replace this with your own words – I recently found the job description for the position – [?????] or {Contact Name} sent me, suggested to me or told me about this position.  After reviewing your website and the job description, I am very interested in discussing this position further with you.

=Replace the section below with information about the specific Job Description Requirements and your specific Experience (delete this line when done) = =

As I reviewed the job description I saw that many of the job requirements were very relevant to both my experience and skills over the past XXX years.

Requirement #1 – I successfully did this work at Job XXX in year XXXX
Requirement #2 – I was involved in this activity at Job XXX in year XXXX
Requirement #3 – I was responsible for doing this for my department at Job XXX in year XXX

Specific Example idea and suggested response:
The job description requires someone with extensive experience in case management. I performed all of the case management work for Legal Aid of SC in 2009.
