LinkedIn Add Connections Function

One of the features in LinkedIn is to “Add Connections

I personally do not recommend that you use the functionality that lets LinkedIn log into your Email contacts so they can send an email to your contacts, requesting that your contacts A) Join LinkedIn and B) connect with you.

I believe that this type of LinkedIn connection activity does not help you create a relationship with your connections.

What you can do is to use the “Invite by Individual Email” function at the bottom of this page. Enter only email addresses of the people you know and LinkedIn will send a message to these individuals for you..

Another way to do this is to use your own email system and send your own, personally written email to people you know. Include the Link to your Public Profile and ask your contacts to view your profile and to send you a connect request while viewing it.  This is a better way to make LinkedIn connections with the opportunity to create a mutual relationship.
